About Teylers Museum

Teylers Museum, is the Netherlands' first and oldest museum. Its doors have been open to the public since 1784. Both the building and the collections are a monument to two centuries of cultural history. Art lovers are lured to ‘Teyler’ by an unique collection of Dutch Masters as well as the famous artwork of Rembrandt and Michelangelo. The collection within Teylers ranges from electricity generating contraptions, to million-year-old fossils to antique books and coins.
